@noahbkim can you explain mastodon pls. I think most us don't understand it. Like what's the federated stuff vs the local. Where does it pull Federated from?? #ratparty confusion

@stef i’m not exactly sure what federated content is pulled in but i’ve been making an effort to follow people from other instances so maybe you’re seeing echos of that

@stef but local stuff is just people on our instance, which i’m not 100% sure how to access on mobile; unlike federated content you don’t have to make an effort to find posters
